Samhain marks the threshold between autumn and winter, when the harvest is complete and we begin turning toward the darker half of the year.

This candlelit mini-retreat is the first event in an ongoing Wheel of the Year gathering series exploring the eight seasonal turning points and the wisdom each one carries. Together, these gatherings offer a way to move through the year with greater awareness, ritual and connection to the changing Earth.

During this two-hour experience, we’ll explore Samhain’s traditional themes of endings, remembrance, descent and renewal through seasonal teaching, herbal tea, gentle movement and light breathwork.

You’ll then be guided through a sound-healing meditation and seasonal vision quest, creating space to listen for what is ending, what is asking to be laid to rest and what may be quietly taking shape beneath the surface.

The evening will also include guided journaling, oracle-card pulling and a simple candlelit ritual to honour the people, experiences and former versions of ourselves that helped bring us here. Each participant will receive a workbook to use throughout the gathering and continue exploring at home.

No previous experience with ritual, sound meditation, the Wheel of the Year or earth-based spiritual practices is needed. Come curious, bring a journal and prepare to enter the darker season with intention.

This gathering begins our journey around the Wheel of the Year, with future events marking the solstices, equinoxes and the seasonal thresholds between them.

Most yearly planning assumes you’ll have the same energy, priorities and capacity every month. But people and lives don’t work that way. We move through natural cycles of beginning, growth, harvest, completion and rest.

In this two-hour, hands-on Moon-Mapping workshop, you’ll step outside the ordinary twelve-month calendar and create a living circle for your next 13 Moons.

We’ll begin by looking back at what the past year has taught you, what has reached completion and what you genuinely want from the chapter ahead. Then we’ll draw and fill in your personal Moon Map, placing your intentions, desires, projects, important life events and necessary periods of rest across the coming lunar year.

You’ll explore how the 13 lunar cycles move through the larger Wheel of the Year, helping you see where your plans meet the equinoxes, solstices and seasonal turning points.

You’ll leave knowing:

  • What is ready to begin
  • What needs time to grow
  • What deserves your energy now
  • What can wait until a later season
  • What you’re ready to complete or release
  • How to revisit and adjust your map as life changes

This is an active workshop, not a lecture. You won’t leave with another list of resolutions or a rigid plan you’re expected to follow perfectly. You’ll leave with a beautiful, flexible map for moving through your next chapter with greater intention, clarity and trust in your own timing.

Your ticket includes

  • A printed 13 Moons mapping workbook
  • Your personal Moon Map template
  • Guided reflection and planning exercises
  • An introduction to the lunar year and Wheel of the Year
  • Herbal tea
  • Two hours of supported mapping and conversation

Please bring a journal, pen and any important dates you already know for the year ahead.

The Winter Solstice marks the longest night of the year and the quiet turning point when darkness reaches its fullest expression and the light slowly begins to return.

This candlelit mini-retreat is part of an ongoing Wheel of the Year gathering series exploring the eight seasonal turning points and the wisdom each one carries. Rather than rushing toward resolutions or trying to force new beginnings, this gathering offers space to honour the year that has been, listen inward and enter winter with greater intention.

Through seasonal teaching, herbal tea, gentle movement and light breathwork, we’ll explore the traditional meaning of the Winter Solstice and its themes of darkness, rest, renewal and returning light.

You’ll then be guided through a sound-healing meditation and winter vision quest, creating space to meet the quiet wisdom of the season. We’ll reflect on what the past year has asked of us, what deserves to be carried forward and what small spark we want to protect through the winter months.

The evening will also include guided journaling, oracle-card pulling and a simple candlelit ritual to mark the turning of the Wheel. Each participant will receive a seasonal workbook to use during the gathering and continue exploring at home.

No previous experience with ritual, sound meditation, the Wheel of the Year or earth-based spiritual practices is needed. Come curious, bring a journal and give yourself an evening to slow down before the holiday season reaches full gallop.

This gathering continues our journey around the Wheel of the Year, with future events marking the equinoxes, solstices and seasonal thresholds between them.
